Hello and welcome to our cushion world
Rokushon (formerly known as RokusMuvek) was founded by us, Kata and Peter in 2015.
We are making a couple since 2011 and moved to England in 2012. We live in a tiny village in the beautiful and sunny Cornwall and making your lovely orders from our home studio in our free time.
Our name comes from the hungarian word ‘róka’ which means ‘fox’ in English. Peter gave it a little twist and ‘Rokus’ was born.
Creativity is our passion. I always loved making things for my friends and loved watching my Mum while she was sewing clothes for me and my sister. I had so many ideas which she didn't like or said it’s not possible to make so I started to study Fashion Design and got a degree just to prove her everything is possible ;)
I still have some of those garments in my wardrobe in Hungary.
After a few years we moved to England my Dad passed away sadly and I had a few very bad months... I had difficulties to find happiness in anything. Before this tragedy I already made some cushions for friends and they loved them so I decided to make more to keep my mind occupied. I already knew Etsy as a shopper for unique things so I opened my shop here. At our first Christmas in 2015 on Etsy I could not keep up with my orders so Peter decided to help me with stuffing the cushions and managing the shop. He is my number one supporter from the very beginning and I am so grateful for him… :)
When it comes to design we find inspiration in everything that surrounds us.
We make cushions, soft toys, dolls and accessories. Most of our items are inspired by nature and animals - mostly sausage dogs, because I am obsessed with them….
Peter is a cat person by the way… :D
